Since our founding in 1946, Alfred Benesch & Company has specialized in providing civil and structural engineering services to our clients in transportation, urban development and industry. We have successfully completed more than 3,500 design and engineering projects throughout the United States due to the combined efforts of our skilled and experienced staff. We have designed complex highway interchanges, major river bridges and structural systems for high-rise buildings; inspected thousands of railroad and highway bridges; supervised the construction of miles of interstates and acres of railroad freight yards; and managed the reconstruction of a busy commuter train station, large expressways, airport facilities and intermodal rail yards. Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL) is a full-service regional consulting engineering firm specializing in civil, municipal, mechanical, construction, traffic, water resources and environmental engineering with offices in Rosemont, St. Charles and Peoria, Illinois, and Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Schererville, Indiana. Started in 1986, the firm has grown to approximately 170 total employees by providing consistently high quality services to both public and private sector clients throughout the Midwest. CBBEL staff includes four survey crews, civil, structural, mechanical, environmental, traffic, construction management, transportation and water resource engineers; biologists, wetland specialists, a landscape architect and a forest ecologist.

Civiltech currently maintains a staff of 80 full-time employees which includes 50 engineers, one registered Structural Engineer, one Registered Landscape Architect, one certified Planner and a Professional Land Surveyor. Of the 50 engineers, almost half are registered Professional Engineers and three are Professional Traffic Operation Engineers.
Civiltech's work comes primarily from the Chicago region, though we have completed projects in downstate Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana. We have also performed site engineering services for U.S. military facilities throughout the United States and overseas.
Civiltech Engineering is prequalified by the Illinois Department of Transportation to perform a variety of transportation related design and inspection services.
